The “Diabetic Foot” is that foot that is at higher risk for developing problems due to the pathophysiological processes of diabetes mellitus. These various problems of the diabetes (neuropathy, vascular, immune, biomechanical, dermatological, etc) all can increase the risk of a range of problems (skin conditions, infections, ulcers, need for amputation, etc).
